Bespoke Pet Care vs kennels

Updated: Feb 15, 2019

The difference between sending animals to kennels vs an in home care. The good, the bad and the awesome!

We'll start with Kennels. I must say that one may be better that the other for you and it is a choice of the owner.

Kennels have more staff and that way they have more eyes watching your dog. The dogs will have more socialising with other dogs, if that's what they like. Some kennels don't have the staff to take all the dogs for walks so they will use their exercise areas more than taking them for walks. Some kennels limit themselves to more able-bodied dogs and won't take in dogs that have walking issues. The dogs are kept in a kennel type pen when not in an exercise area.

If you choose Home Boarding then you will be assured that your dog will be in a warm and friendly environment. They will spend more time with the person/family looking after them. The dog will have the freedom of the home and garden. They will also go on walks and not be in just an exercise/play area. The Home Boarders will look after the dogs with Special Needs ie: walking disabilities.

I'm not saying that you should take Home Boarding over Kennels. I did say at the start it is your choice. As with every businesses there are pros and cons. Sometimes it is trial and error. When making what you feel is the best choice for your dog do your research and take your time. Happy Board Hunting!
